We draw these design cues from places, culture, architecture and eras that inspire us to create interiors that are timeless, and ultimately offer our client's home a spirit of place.

Our studio takes charge of the full design interior service for both hard and soft fitout components. From design, detailing, documentation, specification, management and installation.

Our Process

PHASE ONE I CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

We begin with an initial meeting with you and view the space, site or plans. We identify your design intentions, requirements for living and establish your budget. We uniquely tailor every project and brief and refine the scope of work required. An Estimated Fee Proposal is then created to provide indicative fees to undertake the project.

We then review the Architect’s plans and identify any key architectural elements requiring integration. We review all of the interior spaces and proposed plans, ensuring the spaces are thoughtfully considered. The initial concept design is developed with a presentation of reference imagery and a selection of key finishes to build a visual language for the project. We have extensive knowledge of local and international products and suppliers and have an expansive library that is continually evolving with the latest products.

PHASE TWO | DEVELOPED DESIGN

We further develop the design into detailing material selections for floor, wall, ceiling and cabinetry.  Concept drawings for the hard fitout cabinetry including kitchen, scullery, powder room, bathroom, laundry are detailed into a drawing package with supporting render for each area.   

Lighting, whiteware/tapware, appliances, hardware and window treatments are selected at this stage.  All items specified are documented within a Specification of Finishes schedule for ease of reference for all contractor’s involved.  We coordinate all of these orders to meet our delivery schedules for you.

PHASE THREE | SPATIAL PLANNING, FF&E AND CURATION OF FURNITURE

We provide furniture curation and procurement service. We space plan the interior to determine the proportions and scale of furniture to suit the spaces. This establishes cohesion between the architecture, interior finishes and detailing. We customise pieces and tailor the furniture package to suit each client. This is documented within a Specification of Finishes schedule.

PHASE FOUR | PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Observation of the construction phase ensures the design intent is followed through on site and the design is finished and executed to our expectation. This includes site visits and liaison with contractors, suppliers and the Architect as necessary.

PHASE FIVE | INSTALL AND COMPLETION

We manage all the FF+E deliveries and installation prior to your move in and can style your home for you. We undertake a full walk through and ensure you are familiar with all the operations and workings of your home. We will also provide you with a comprehensive handover folder which also includes care and maintenance instructions for all of your finishes.

We understand the challenges of renovating and the overwhelming nature of navigating specifications, FF&E, and the multitude of design choices that lie ahead.

Whether you're undertaking a complete renovation or seeking to refresh a single room, our Design Consultations are tailored to guide you in creating a space that resonates with your vision. We recognise that good design is not just about aesthetics, but also about achieving a sense of harmony, equilibrium and functionality in all aspects of the design process, from concept to completion.

To accommodate your schedule and provide maximum convenience, we now open our calendar twice per month on Friday mornings to new clients seeking our Design Consultation service. You have the freedom to share your space over video, curate a presentation with photos or simply have a conversation while we take detailed notes. The time is yours to utilise in the manner most helpful for you. As the conversations evolve, Emma will guide you to realise these impressions into built form. She will seek to unfold your ideals to create spaces for living, connection, growth and rest.

We understand that the multitude of decisions involved in home renovation and design can be time-consuming and costly. Our Design Consultations are designed to simplify the process, making it more enjoyable, rewarding and valuable.
